Blocking action settings

Call actions explained

Your phone has access to a limited number of reject methods. Contrary to popular belief there are only four of them - hold, ignore, reject and pick up and reject. None of these are able to control your voicemail service - this is an operator setting and will only affect blocking by association. For example, ignoring a call will still send it to voicemail if your operator setting would do so after a certain number of rings. Be sure you understand this concept before arguing that Reject sends your calls to voicemail.

Relegate
This is a pass-trough action that will act as if no action is taken, essentially skipping to the next priority rule. This is for advanced users who wish to prioritise lists inside a given profile.

Reject
This method will hang up on the caller as if you had used the reject swipe in the system dialer. This is the most compatible and predictable method of rejecting calls.

Ignore
With this method, the caller will hear rings, but you will not. If your operator sends to voicemail after a certain number of rings, this is what will happen.

Answer and hang up immediately
This method will hang up on the caller as soon as a connection is made, without waiting for a handshake from the system. In some scenarios this may be the fastest reject method.

Answer and hang up
This will hang up on the caller as soon as a connection is made and the system returns a handshake. Essentially this is the classic reject method used by phone manufacturers.

Answer, wait and hang up
The daemon will connect the call for a split second and then hang up. May help with voicemail on some networks because it actually connects the call before rejecting it.

Answer and hold
Calls will be picked up and then put on hold. They will hear music, but you will not be notified that they are waiting. Similar in function to Ignore but with no risk of being sent to voicemail.

Allow
This will let the call through as if blocking was disabled. Note that this is not the same as "Relegate".

Text actions explained

Test messages also have individual blocking actions, but they are simplified for your convenience.

Relegate
This is a pass-trough action that will act as if no action is taken, essentially skipping to the next priority rule in the profile. This is for advanced users who wish to prioritise actions.

Block
This action will intercept messages.

Allow
This action will allow text messages through.

Logging actions

By ticking the log check bock, you turn on logging for that action. Please note that the check box will be greyed out if you have chosen to allow a call or text messasge through, as in that case the logging will be performed by the system dialer and messaging app.
